We use would for making a polite request/ for enquiring about a future action .
Note- We ask questions about a future action using 'WILL' also.
An interrogative sentence starting with 'Will' is considered as an impolite one. e.g.
Will you have a cup of tea?
To make this sentence 'polite', we simply replace 'Will' with 'Would'.
10 Examples-
1- ...Would you like to eat something?
2- What time would you leave for airport?
3- Would you please listen to me?
4- Would you like to join us for lunch?
5- Would you please lend me Rs. 10,000 ?
6- How would you go to Cremation ground?
7- Whose car would you borrow, to drop your father to airport?
8-What time would your flight land?
9- Would you like to munching something with drinks?
10-Whom would you like to accompany you to trade fair?
