One of the most commonly known snakes in Canada is the garter snake.

 They can be found anywhere in Canada and central United States

 and come in quite a few different colors and markings.

Garter snakes are usually about 60 to 80 cm (23-30 inches) long,

 but they have been known to grow up to 135 cm.

Because Garter snakes live in colder temperatures they need to hibernate in winter.

 They will find shelter in cracks in the ground where the frost doesn’t reach.

 If you go searching for them you won’t find just one

…there could be hundreds!

Some snakes will travel as far as 32 km or 20 miles

 to reach their winter den in Manitoba, Canada.

It is one of the largest ‘Garter’ gatherings in the world!

 

 

A Frizzle is a type of chicken with feathers that curl outwards,

 rather than lying flat as in most chickens.

While many consider the Frizzle to be an entirely separate breed, it is not.

 Chickens from all breeds may have a frizzled appearance.

The female seahorse lays the eggs and transfers them into the male seahorses pouch

 where they are then incubated. Every male seahorse has an incubation pouch in its body.

 The eggs are fertilized by the male, who also goes through the labour process

 and it takes 2-3 weeks for the babies to be born.

The Rainbow roses were created by Dutch flower company owner



 Peter Van De Werken, who produced them by developing a technique



 for injecting natural pigments into their
stems while they are growing



 to ...create a striking multicolored petal effects.



 The dye are produced from natural plant extracts



 and absorbed by the flowers as they grow.



 A special process then controls how much color reaches each petal-



 with spectacular results. By treating the stalk with natural pigments,



 Van De Werken has manage to make each petal a different color.


The pigment is absorbed and travels to the petals where it changes their hue.
